Cherry Blossom Season in Seoul: Where to Eat After the Walk
Two spots, four restaurants. Yeouido and Jamsil — covered
Cherry blossom season in Seoul lasts about two weeks. The crowds are real, the lines are long, but the food afterward makes it worth it. Here's where to eat near the two best spots in the city.
Yeouido — The Classic
Yeouiseo-ro in Yeouido is the most famous cherry blossom street in Seoul. There's an annual cherry blossom festival here — and the crowds that come with it are no joke. If you want that full chaotic spring-in-Seoul experience, go for it. If you just want to see the blossoms, there are calmer options. Either way, come before 9am or after 7pm if photos matter to you.
01 · Yeongdeungpo District
Jinju House
"Summer dish: silky bean noodles, crispy kimchi."
A Yeouido institution that local office workers have been coming to for years. The konguksu (cold soy milk noodles) is what they're known for — and yes, they serve it in spring too. The kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) is worth ordering alongside. One heads-up: the entrance is easy to miss, so look it up on the map before you go.
02 · Yeongdeungpo District
Hwamok Sundaeguk
"The broth soaks into rice. Internal organs taste less scary."
Sundaeguk sounds intimidating but this is the place to try it. The rice gets ladled into the broth tableside so it soaks up everything — deep, savory, no funk. Lines at lunch and dinner are real, but the turnover is fast.
Jamsil — Seokchon Lake
Seokchon Lake is the quieter pick. Lotte Tower reflects off the water, cherry blossoms frame the whole thing, and it's noticeably less packed than Yeouido. The loop around the lake takes about 40 minutes.

03 · Songpa District
Prettit Lotte World Mall
"Get the almond cream cheese. Eat while shopping."
Inside Lotte World Mall on B1. Small pretzel stand — get the almond cream cheese pretzel or the sausage hotdog, both around 6,500 won. Easy to eat while walking, pairs well with an iced Americano.
04 · Songpa District
Jamsil Mosori
"Order the special cuts. Worth the detour."
End the day here. Korean BBQ focused on specialty pork cuts — not a tourist chain, the server grills for you. Go hungry
