The Best Pizza in Seongsu You Haven't Heard About Yet

Seongsu has no shortage of cafes trying to be cool. HDD Pizza (Hdd피자) is not trying. It just is. If you're doing a Seongsu day and want something genuinely good for lunch or dinner, this is the spot.

What to Expect

This is a converted factory space — bare walls, not a lot of tables, soul music playing loud enough that you feel it. It's compact and a little dim, which actually works in its favor. The menu is four pizzas. That's it. You pick one, or you go half-and-half and split two flavors on one pie. Simple concept, executed well.

The dough is the thing. Chewy in the middle, properly crispy at the edge — the kind of crust you don't leave on the plate. Fair warning: it runs salty, so order a drink. Not optional.

One hard limit to know before you go: they only make 120 pizzas a day. Show up late and you might walk into a "sold out" situation.

What to Order

Truffle Potato Pizza (트러플 감자 피자) — This is the one. Truffle mayo base, whole chunks of potato on top. It sounds heavy and it is, but in a satisfying way. Almost everyone who eats here names this as the standout. If you're only getting one flavor, make it this.

Cheese Pizza — Unpretentious. If you love cheese, this delivers without any gimmick. Good backup option for the half-and-half if you want contrast against the truffle potato.

Hot Chicken Pizza — Skip it on your first visit. The reviews are mixed and the other two are more consistent. Come back for it once you know the place.

Half-and-half is worth doing — truffle potato on one side, cheese on the other. That's the move for two people.

Atmosphere & Vibe

Industrial-converted space, the kind Seongsu does well. But this one doesn't feel performative about it. The staff are friendly without being overly attentive. Seating is limited, so it has that slightly intimate feeling even when it's full. The soul music is a genuine touch — not background wallpaper, it's actually playing.

Weekday lunch is the sweet spot. Quiet, no wait, you get the space to yourself. On weekend evenings expect 10–25 minutes outside. Some locals skip the wait entirely and order takeout, then walk five minutes to Seoul Forest to eat there. That's honestly a great call.
